It was a good week, not too shabby for a transfer week when it feels like far too much time is spent waiting at bus stops and stuff. But I got my new comp and then we got to work! Nothing too special work wise, besides the fact that it is nice to be with a Malagasy because people seem to receive you so much better, it is less intimidating to have only one vazaha instead of 2 I guess. It'll be a good 6 weeks
On Saturday both S and T passed their bap interviews! awesome! They will be getting baptized this Saturday. They passed with flying colors, both of them are so ready. I'm excited for them.
Last night after teaching P's family we taught a less active family. The dad is a great, nice guy who is trying to do right with his life, and has been making steps in the right direction. He has come to church twice recently, way good considering he hadn't come for 6 years (like a month after his baptism was the last time he came) His wife, however, is in a very sad state. As in, she was drunk. It's sad, way sad. We are hoping her husband, who is pretty studly, will be able to help her, once he is more converted that is. Normal it is the reverse of that here in Mada, a strong girl with a struggling guy, but with them it is reversed.
On tuesday we tracted into and taught an Antandroy couple, woohoo! They speak Merina well, but it is just refreshing to hear the language of my people again.
Give a thank you to Uncle Jon and fam for their letter! Awesome stories from our family history, truly inspiring. They sure make me feel like a whimp! I enjoyed the special note from Olivia too, tell her to keep up the good work!
Spiritual thought of the week-- Ether 12:27. Find those weaknesses and destroy them! In a humble, faith-filled way that is. So maybe destroy isn't the best word to use to describe that humility.... but it's a great scripture. Let Christ make them strong.
